Remote sensing technology has enhanced monitoring and management of natural resources over time and space. Data from Earth Observations (EO) has been used in variety of applications.
Advances expand the products that can be generated from EO data, which is particularly important for 3D modeling and mapping. Derived data and products are used to benefit the society in a wide range of activities as disaster monitoring and management, community services, urban planning etc.
Sharing best practices in application of the advanced geospatial technologies is one of the goals of the session, as well as the discussions on the leading trends, results from specific case studies and difficulties throughout the work process.
The papers for the session should be focused on some of the following topics:
Planned output:
The conference papers can be published in:
Peer-reviewed book in Springer series on Key Challenges in Geography
Special Issues of: European Journal of Geography, Journal of Bulgarian Geographical Society, or Journal Problems of Geography
